Discipline
Schools and their teachers have always been under pressure — for instance, pressure to cover the curriculum, to perform well in comparison to other schools, and to avoid the stigma of being “soft” or “spoiling” toward students. Forms of discipline, such as control over when students may speak, and normalized behaviour, such as raising a hand to speak, are imposed in the name of greater efficiency. Practitioners of critical pedagogy maintain that such disciplinary measures have no positive effect on student learning. Indeed, some argue that disciplinary practices detract from learning, saying that they undermine students’ individual dignity and sense of self-worth—the latter occupying a more primary role in students’ hierarchy of needs.
Attendance And Leaves
Every student is expected to put in 100% attendance unless obstructed by illness or other unavoidable reasons. Even then 75% attendance is a must. Leave is allowed only in case of emergency and on medical basis. Parents are requested to avoid applying for leave except when it is absolutely necessary. Medical leave must be supported by a proper medical certificate from a qualified and registered medical practitioner.
School Uniform
The students should come to the school in proper uniform prescribed for all the students from grade Nursery to XII. Students without proper uniform are not allowed to attend the school.
Meeting With Principal / Teachers
Please avoid to meet the Teachers during the school hours as it disturbs the study of the entire school. Parents are not allowed to visit the class rooms during the school hours. In urgency, parents may contact the Principal . on all working days without any prior appointment.
